Things satan might say!

Let's start with what God says..(the illustration belei's the truth - satan is worse than any picutre can describe).

What God Says

God is big and powerful; He created everything (see Colossians 1:16).

He sees and knows everything and can do anything (see Isaiah 55:9; Hebrews 4:13; Ephesians 3:20).

He has always been that way (see Psalm 90:12).

He “‘is the Alpha and the Omega,’ says the Lord God, ‘who is and who was and who is to come, the Almighty’” (Rev. 1:8).

He cares about each of us (see Matthew10:2931).

He loves us, no matter what, even to the point of laying down His life for ours (see John 3:16).

He wants to spend time with us and for us to know Him (see Revelation 3:20).

He protects us and helps us and never moves (see 2 Thessalonians 3:3).

We may know all that, but do we believe all that?  If you know it, but don’t believe it, it is barely on your belt, and definitely not a part of your shield.

Things satan Says

(I have sensed him say things like this in the past - I don't beleive him any longer on these issues)

God didn’t create everything; it is all evolution. Even if God did create some version of processes for adaptation of it all … it was still not by His design.

God doesn’t know or keep track of everything, and much of what is happening in the world is out of His control … and you are subject to the pain of what is still yet to come.

God will change His mind about you. You may think He loves you … but just wait.

God didn’t really send His Son to die. That is a just a fable. A good one, but just a fable. Jesus was a good man. But just a man.

God has no time for you. He’s too busy with major things. You don’t really matter to Him. He just puts up with your antics in life.

God does not protect you. Remember when that horrible thing happened to you?

You don’t have what it takes. God made you inferior to others. (this one still stings from time to time)

Why even try? This whole planet is going to hell quickly. What difference can you make?

The enemy will tell you things like this daily. If you do not know truth (Jesus) and then believe truth (Jesus), the flaming arrows will hit your soul daily. But you can believe. The offer is there. Christ is waiting on you to acknowledge that He is King of Kings and Lord of Lords, and He is all-powerful and will be powerful for you. But you "must" armor up, and get the belief shield built and ready for arrows.

Jesus IS truth. “Jesus said to him, ‘I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. If you had known me, you would have known my Father also. From now on you do know him and have seen him’” (John 14:6–7, emphasis mine). Be obedient to Christ’s truth.

Truth is a person—Christ.

Not an abstract fact.

So, who you don’t know, can hurt you. And since the Spirit is with you always, He will guide you into all truth. “When the Spirit of truth comes, he will guide you into all the truth, for he will not speak on his own authority, but whatever he hears he will speak…” (John 16:13, emphasis mine).

The Spirit will remind you of what you already know that Jesus has said.

If anyone loves me, he will keep my word, and my Father will love him, and we will come to him and make our home with him. Whoever does not love me does not keep my words. And the word that you hear is not mine but the Father’s who sent me. These things I have spoken to you while I am still with you. But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, he will teach you all things and bring to your remembrance all that I have said to you. (John 14:2326)

So, what truths can you state right now that Jesus said? We all have small lists and tiny armor. What you don’t know cannot be brought to your memory. But you can ask the Spirit to teach you new things which can be added to that list of what you know—then into belief in your heart—and be useful on your faith shield.
