Let Him break you out of your personal fish-prison!

Basically, Christ took a hammer and broke the glass of the prison that the religious leaders had constructed to keep an orderly religious system. He broke Himself out of their prison, then went about setting a bunch of captives free. Just like He said He would. That scripture was fulfilled. And He was fulfilling it. Daily.
I know this next statement may be a little sacrilegious. But I wonder if He had a little notebook with all the Pharisees’ extra laws. Over 600 of them. I wonder if, when He got up in the morning He thought, “I’m gonna break number 12, 28, 386, and number 87 today.” Actually, He went about His day paying no mind to them, only to His Father, and His Father’s desire.
Jesus was raised in a fishbowl religious system. All perfectly contained. Lots of extra rules, but no God as a part of it. Yet Christ was there, in the middle of it as He changed it.
Mankind has a knack for putting everything nice and neatly in a box (or fishbowl)
We box things up. A performance box. An accomplishment box. Over the years religious leaders have continued to do that, creating religious containers. As followers of Jesus Christ, we cannot live that way and truly follow Him. Our Leader sets captives free.
