About Doug Dees
For many years, in churches of all sizes from Arkansas to Oklahoma to Orlando, Doug was the guy who helped people become followers of Christ, and disciple-makers. He sensed God saying he was to ‘proclaim the Word.’ He kept thinking that might mean to preach. But at the start of the fourth quarter of his life, he’s realized very clearly that God is now saying to ‘proclaim from the housetops’ through writing and blogging. His deepest desire is to help people know and love God more deeply, to look more like Christ…and to be led by the Spirit to help others do the same.
Doug was born and raised in Ft. Worth, Texas. He has degrees from Texas Wesleyan University, Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, and a Doctorate from Reformed Theological Seminary. He is married to Karen, the love of his life. They have two adult kiddos—Katie and Matt.
About Mark Lambert
Mark is also a Ft. Worth native. He’s been married for over forty-one years to his wife Melody. They have two married daughters, Ashlea and Lauren, and three grandkids. His grandson has a superman costume that matches his grandads, and they wear them whenever the grandson wants.
Mark grew up in a close Christian family. He attended Southern Nazarene University. He’s recently retired after working forty years, the last thirty-two of which were in the aerospace industry where he led cross-functional teams to achieve enterprise-wide improvements.
He enjoys hiking the twenty-four miles of the Grand Canyon in one long day. He has completed that trip seven times, two of which were with Doug. Mark meets with men’s groups, or groups of men, for breakfast seven days a week. In case you think that’s possible only because he’s retired…he was meeting with five groups while he was working. He loves helping people to see God more clearly.
